This stylish garden office was built for a self-employed accountant in Pulborough, West Sussex. Keen to move out of her small office in the house, she wanted to utilise the large space on offer in her garden. To achieve this contemporary design, we cladded the structure in western red cedar and chose anthracite grey aluminium bi-fold doors. For a panoramic view of the garden, the side wall includes a row of full length windows.
The garden room has a separate entrance into a storage area which will be used as a general storage space. We added an electrical supply to this room so that a spare fridge-freezer can be kept to stored along with gardening equipment. Our team also built the large decked area and railway sleeper staircase, which provides the family with a communal space to enjoy the garden and the view of their new home office.
