Bring a touch of Japan to your music studio with burnt larch cladding. This style of cladding is charred following a traditional Japanese process called 'Yakisugi’. This process means that your burnt larch cladding is insect, water and rot repelling. It therefore requires little to no maintenance, and looks incredibly stylish in the garden year round. The cladding can also be known as 'Shou Sugi Ban’. To give the cladding maximum impact, we have included a contrasting strip of cedar cladding on the structure's overhang and side cheek.
The beautiful exterior of this project is coupled with some slick soundproofing. We have included Soundproofing Package C which includes a double set of doors and windows, acoustic glazing and an ISO clip system. The result is a fantastic sound safe space which is used by a professional saxophonist and actor.
Within this design, we have constructed a 1 metre by 0.9 metre recording booth. This separated space is the perfect spot for recording vocals in a distraction-free environment.
