Blend your Garden Room into your Outdoor Space

At Miniature Manors, we can identify ways of making your garden building blend effortlessly with its surroundings, and can even provide the service to make this happen. Here are some of our favourite ways of tailoring garden rooms so that they integrate into your outdoor space:

Decking
One of the most obvious ways for your structure to look less isolated in your outdoor space is to add decking to your garden room. A decked area could be used as a BBQ space, or as a place for garden furniture. We can include decking in your design and quotation, which is something we did on this Garden Room Gym with Hot Tub Area in West Sussex.

Verandas & Side Canopies
Like decking, a veranda or side canopy will connect your structure to the garden by providing a space between the inside and outside. Verandas offer a sheltered area to enjoy the garden, without the need to go into your structure – perfect if you want a space to relax with friends, but do not necessarily want them entering your office space. Our team can include verandas in most designs. We particularly love this Multi-purpose Garden Room With Side Canopy:

Add a Green Roof
A sedum or wild flower roof is a great way of replacing any greenery that the structure has taken away. A green roof will add an organic, natural feel to your garden room so that it will blend with the surrounding environment. They are a particularly good way of softening a contemporary structure. Our team can include a living green roof as part of your build.

Reflect the Features on your Home
Using the same materials that feature on your house or elsewhere in the garden, will allow your garden room to look consistent in the existing landscape. We can look to include the same coloured door and window frames which exist on your house for example. If you’re considering a pitched roof, our team can use a tile which will match those on your main house. Our Mock Tudor Garden Room compliments the traditional style of our customer’s house. We chose a cladding that matches the door and window frame colour on our Garden Room in AONB build in East Sussex.

Add your Garden Room cladding elsewhere
You could subtly feature the same garden room cladding elsewhere in your garden. Our carpenters created a western red cedar gate for our client in Kent, which compliments her garden studio:

Plants & Garden Landscaping
Gardening or landscaping around your garden room will allow your garden room to effortlessly integrate into the garden. If you’re green-fingered, enjoy planting around the structure and watching it come to life. We adore the planting around this Garden Office & Bar, which makes the building blend beautifully into the garden.
