As 2023 draws to a close, we are celebrating another successful year at Miniature Manors HQ! Our design and construction team were incredibly busy, completing just over 40 beautifully bespoke builds for our customers across Sussex, Surrey, Kent and South London.
Our office team has expanded, and as a result, we have taken on an exciting new office space in Haywards Heath. More details on this will be announced in the new year.
We are proud to have run another successful apprenticeship programme, as our latest recruit embarks on qualifying as a site carpenter.
From cosy garden retreats to modern work spaces, the garden room builds of 2023 have showcased the versatility and skills of both our site and office team. Here are some of favourite projects of the year!
Best Garden Office of the Year – Cedar Garden Office
Often, it’s the simplest of designs that can make the biggest impact on a garden. Back in April, we created this stylish 2.5 metre by 3.5 metre home office in Surrey. This studio size is perfect if you are looking for a professional one person working space. The fuss-free design includes red western cedar cladding and uPVC sliding doors. As with all of our builds, it is insulated for year-round use and includes a residential grade interior finish. In other words, the same high quality spec you would expect to have in your home. Soundproofing that Stands out in the Crowd – Garden Music Studio
A soundproofed space is invaluable if creating noise is an integral part of your job or hobby. We take pride in putting together effective soundproofing packages on our builds. Our favourite soundproofed room of the year has to be this Garden Music Studio in West Sussex. This impressive space was designed and built for a composer and music producer who required a professional, private room to work from. Family Hub of the Year – Multi-Purpose Garden Room with Storage
A Garden Room doesn’t need to serve one purpose. It can be used by multiple family members for a range of uses. Showcasing exactly how a garden building can have more than one use, is this beautifully modern project that we created at the start of 2023. The main room in this design is used not only as a home office, but as a leisure space to bring family members together. Large bi-fold doors open to a picturesque garden, allowing the family to enjoy the beauty of nature while staying connected in a cosy and stylish setting. The design also includes attached side storage, meaning our customers didn’t lose out on important garden storage space when they commissioned the build. The Eco-Friendly Haven – Garden Room with Solar Panels
As sustainability becomes increasingly important, our garden room builds are embracing eco-friendly design principles. This beautiful fibre-cement clad garden building exemplifies this trend, featuring solar panels and energy-efficient insulation. With a handful of exciting garden room projects in the diary, and several garden rooms awaiting planning permission, we are approaching 2024 with a positive outlook. After an initial consultation to explore what you are looking for, we will provide you with an estimate and a site visit. Following this, our design team will get to work on a fantastic 3D render of your room, along with a detailed quotation and list of what will be included in your build.
