A garden room gym is the ultimate way to achieve your fitness goals, which is why it is a popular option for our customers across Sussex & Surrey. Imagine working out with the following benefits:
– Access to the gym 24/7
– Zero travel time – so no more excuses not to work out!
– No membership fees
– Total privacy
– A room that has been designed with you and your fitness goals in mind
And if you’re a personal trainer or run exercise classes, a gym will allow you to take total control of your working environment! When it comes to deciding how to layout your home gym, our bespoke design service will assist you in choosing the right features. Here are a few tips and things to consider:
The Size of your Garden Room
How much equipment do you have? During our design process, we will create a floor-plan with to scale drawings of your exercise equipment. We can work out the layout of the room and where everything should be positioned. When it comes to height, most of our garden rooms will be designed with a 2.5 metre height under permitted development rules. If an area needs a little more, our carpenters will cut out a section of the ceiling to give you extra room. We included this feature for a tall cable machine on our L-Shaped Cedar Gym & Office in East Sussex.
Extra Support in Ceiling, Walls & Floor
Most garden rooms require a TV and storage on the walls. We can therefore add extra support to allow this. We can also reinforce the floor to hold the weight of any heavy machinery.

Garden Room Temperature Control
We can include opening windows so you can naturally ventilate the room. For those sweaty workouts, air conditioning can be installed. Many A/C units will heat the room as well as cool the room, making this an ideal solution for year-round use.
Specialist Flooring & PVC Walls
If you are having a multi-functional garden room, consider rubber matting in the area where your gym will sit. We can also lay LVT flooring if the structure will be used for dual-purposes. Usually our garden rooms have a plastered & painted finish, but some of our customers have chosen a PVC board on their walls. This material can easily be wiped clean and was installed in our Garden Yoga Studio design in West Sussex.
Garden Room Shower & W/C
If you want to freshen up after your work out, a shower room is an efficient way to do this. A W/C will eliminate the need for your clients to enter your house if your garden room is the centre of your personal training business.

A Garden Gym with Aesthetic Appeal
Make your investment worthwhile and have a garden gym that you’re proud of! With our bespoke design and build service, we will include the cladding, doors and features of your choice. We can create a sleek, contemporary studio or something more traditional. You may want to combine the old and the new like our customer did with their Corrugated Steel Garden Room with Apex Roof in Surrey.
