Tucked behind a characterful fisherman’s cottage in the coastal town of Worthing, this striking garden annex has provided our client and their family with much-needed additional living space. Designed and built to meet full building regulations, the annex is fully self-contained with its own WC and shower — ideal for guests or extended family. In this case, the area will be used as an exciting overnight room for when the grandchildren come to stay! A bespoke plywood bunk bed adds a clean, Scandinavian feel to the interior, while the tile-effect LVT flooring brings texture and warmth to the space.
Externally, the building is clad in a combination of black corrugated metal and black Thermowood, with a sloping roof that softens the 4m rear elevation. The result is a contemporary structure that feels well-balanced within its surroundings, sitting discreetly at the rear of the garden as though it’s always been part of the landscape.
As part of our turnkey service, we carried out all necessary plumbing and drainage works, liaised directly with building control, and worked alongside the bed manufacturer to ensure a seamless and fully tailored experience for our client. A custom built annex by our team at Miniature Manors will offer you a stress free experience whilst we project manage every aspect of the project for you.
