A garden office doesn’t need to be plain or corporate. It can be a thing of beauty and has the potential to be the focal point of your outdoor space! With this garden office design, we have brought together beauty and practicality to create a home office space to envy.
The L-shaped structure was built for our clients in Surrey who run a holiday lets business. They were keen to replace their rented office for a work place in the garden. Our brief was to create a large office space with a connected storage room for items related to their business. Having seen faux foliage walls on their travels, our clients wanted to explore ways of adding artificial plants to the exterior of the studio. Our design team got to work, and the result is an eye-catching garden building that ticks all the boxes of our brief!
The main office space is 3.3m x 4.3m with large sliding doors, allowing the room to be opened fully onto the garden. The side storage has a separate entrance which is concealed by the green wall. We selected an artificial foliage that is rich in texture and incorporates shades of green and purple. These tones come to life at night when lit up by the spotlights hidden within the decking. To match the low-maintenance foliage, we selected a fibre cement cladding which requires minimal upkeep.
