Our team designed and built this music studio for a professional rhythm and blues saxophonist. Music is everything for this customer, so the room is used as a space for rehearing and listening to music at leisure. The structure has enabled our customer to move his equipment from the house, giving him a room dedicated to music and freeing up space.
The music studio has been designed to fit the space at the end of the garden. Using Soundproof Package C, the room has an iso clip system installed with double sound plasterboard. This soundproofing technique reduces the transfer of vibrations through the walls, meaning the noise that escapes is kept to a minimum.
As with many of our music studio designs, you will notice that the structure does not have a lot of glass. This is another way to reduce sound escaping. We have included a double door – one that opens out and another that opens inwards. There are also two sets of windows. The outside window is hinged from the top and the interior window opens inwards. These double sets act as another all important sound barrier.
