How about this for a room with a view? This simple design looks out on to the Sussex countryside and is used as a space for relaxation. As the structure was built in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, planning permission was required for this build. Permitted development rules state that a garden room in an AONB must be within 20 metres of the house, and cannot exceed a total of 10 square metres. As the proposed building didn’t meet this criteria, our team put through a planning application and permission was successfully achieved.
We have cladded this Garden Room in a Hardie Plank Weatherboard cladding by James Hardie. This fibre cement cladding is incredibly durable and has the benefit of being maintenance free. It is available in over 20 shades, giving you the opportunity to add a splash of colour to your studio. Here, our customer has chosen ‘Monterey taupe’, a pale colour that subtlety blends the room to its surroundings.
“A professional service from Richard and his team from concept through to build. We needed planning permission which was dealt with and the end result was perfect. Highly recommend.” – Mr Goodger, Forest Row, East Sussex
