If you have unique requirements for your garden room that do not fall under permitted development rules, it is always worth applying for planning permission. As the intended use of this garden room is a home gym, a higher internal ceiling height was desired to maximise exercising space. The building was also going to replace an existing garage. Our design team got to work on a suitable garden gym design - an angled garden room with storage accessed via a roller garage door. We put together and submitted the planning application, which was later approved by the council.
This garden gym is distinctive in style. It has several angles to follow the shape of the garden, and a sleek black finish thanks to the vertical composite cladding. The rear of the structure has been separated for garden storage with an electric garage door entrance. Our carpentry team made use of the partitioned wall by creating clever hidden cupboards. This list of features shows why it pays off to go bespoke with your garden room design!
