Elevate your garden room in height and style with a pitched roof finish. With our bespoke design and build service, we can add apex roofs to all of our garden studio projects. Covering areas in Sussex and Surrey such as Brighton, Haywards Heath, East Grinstead and Reigate, our builds are hand-crafted and suitable for year-round use.
A pitched roof garden room can be traditional or contemporary in style. If you’d like to achieve a classic look, consider oak frame work or reclaimed tiles. And if you’d like an apex roof with a modern twist, look at options such as corrugated steel cladding or slate tiles. You can choose between a vaulted or flat ceiling, or even an angled skeiling. Brief our design team on the style of garden studio you are looking for, and we will create a room that ticks all of the boxes.
A pitched roof garden room will vary in height depending upon the width of your room and choice of material. It will also go over the 2.5 metres height that permitted development rules allow. However, if your building will sit more than 2 metres from all of your boundaries, then in most cases you can build under permitted development rules. In the instance that your garden room sits within 2 metres of a boundary, planning permission is required. If this is an option you wish to explore, our architectural design team can take over the planning process for you.
If traditional is your style, then you’ll love this pitched roof garden room which is used as a gym. We’ve combined several design elements which makes this a beautiful addition to the outdoor space, as well as a unique area to work out in.
This corrugated steel clad building is dual purpose – a home office & gym which are connected by a covered walkway. An interior birch plywood finish contrasts dramatically against the industrial exterior. This beautifully bespoke project really demonstrates the skills of both our design & site team.
This garden room is oak-framed with a mock tudor front that matches our customer’s main home. Bursting with rustic charm, our design includes reclaimed slate tiles and a vaulted ceiling with pelmet lighting inside the room.
