A small outdoor area doesn't necessarily mean that you can't have a garden room. We designed and built this narrow studio in a suburban garden in Horsham, West Sussex. Our customer's growing family now have an extra room which is used as a part time office and part time chill out area. The 2.4 metre by 3.5 metre structure utilises the unused space to the rear of the garden, leaving a generous portion of grass for the family to use.
Our customer wanted a contemporary finish, so we clad the front wall in red western cedar. In order to lower our quotation, the unseen walls are clad in a tongue and groove timber. This is a cladding combination that we can offer on all of our garden buildings to lower the overall build price. The cedar cladding is complimented by a large sliding patio door in anthracite grey. This large door brings lots of natural light into the structure, and means that furniture can be placed against the other three walls instead of having windows - a fantastic space saving idea.
