Composite Cladding on a Garden Room

We occasionally work with customers who are interested in adding colour to their garden room exterior. Frequently, we are also asked which cladding option requires the least long-term maintenance. The answer to both of these questions is WPC cladding, also known as wood-polymer composite cladding.

What is Composite Cladding?

This cladding is made of recycled wood and a synthetic polymer which combines to create an extremely durable material. This is a great option if you wish to have a sustainable, eco-friendly product on your garden room!

Colour Options

Our supplier offers a composite cladding in a range of neutral colours. Our customer in Surrey opted for a 'stone grey' giving their garden building a smart, contemporary finish. The cladding is engineered to have a natural-looking grain, which makes the material look like timber.

A Maintenance-free Product

The synthetic element of this cladding means that it is weather-resistant and splinter-free. Whereas timber is prone to movement with changes in temperature, composite cladding will not shrink or warp. Although this material is more expensive, it will not need to be stained or treated in the long-run like cedar does to keep its colour.

If you require fire-resistant cladding on your garden room to meet building regulations, composite cladding is one option to consider. It has a Class B fire rating from our supplier.

With our bespoke design service, we can offer the option of composite cladding on all of our garden office & garden room builds. If your budget will allow, we think this is a fantastic way to add a splash of colour to your building!
